A Workplace Tarot Spread for Role Clarity

A message asks you to coordinate an activity. Does that mean collecting attendance, booking a room, teaching, or approving the budget? A career reading cannot supply a job description. This free practice uses a fictional administrative task to prepare one ordinary clarification.

Start with the instruction

Copy the relevant sentence and identify its source. Remove private names or internal information from a personal practice record. State the current stage: request received, responsibility partly unclear. Do not convert an image association into instructions the organizer never gave.

Write confirmed, unconfirmed, and hoped-for information separately. Coordinating an activity may be confirmed while the deliverable is missing. Being seen as capable is a hope, not a completion condition you can independently establish.

Use three distinct positions

Ask which confirmed part of the remit needs attention, which responsibility or permission remains unspecified, and whom you can ask with a clear question. Set fifteen minutes as a ceiling. The same questions work without cards.

With a deck, describe one visible detail before an association. A collaborative scene could prompt a division-of-work check. Inspect the actual instruction to find the answer. A king cannot authorize spending, and a figure looking away cannot establish an organizer's private opinion.

Turn a gap into a question

In this fictional example, collecting attendance is confirmed but sending reminders is not. The reader asks, “May I send one reminder? Which approved wording and deadline should I use, and how should missing replies be labeled?” This is answerable. “Will everyone attend?” requires other people's behavior and cannot be guaranteed.

The reader can organize existing replies while permission is pending, provided that fits the actual process. Record partial completion and unresolved dependency separately. Sending the inquiry does not mean the whole attendance task is finished.

Keep the answer in its own place

A later actual answer supplies the rule. Add source and timing beneath the initial record rather than rewrite it as knowledge you always had. If permission remains unanswered, retain it as missing. Another card does not establish consent.

A proposed template may also need checking for the current activity. Ability to send and suitability of wording are separate conditions. An attendee's question should go to the person authorized to answer rather than become an extra promise in a reminder.

Finish with three outputs

Keep a bounded scope statement, one named gap, and one ordinary request. Someone unfamiliar with tarot should understand the resulting work. If all positions say communicate more, revise the questions rather than draw again.

At review, record what was actually confirmed and done. An organized reply is not attendance already achieved. No new information means keeping the existing review point rather than rephrasing the same uncertainty into another reading.

The complete workplace handbook applies this approach to applications, interviews, handovers, feedback, learning, and lead responsibilities. Its first two chapters explain tasks and information preparation free, with no deck required.
